Do we need a section on video games?

[edit]

I don't think so. For the most part, these games follow rules similar to their closest real world facsimile. I don't think we really need to do anything more than cover the real world races. If it's truly notable that a video game has standing starts, they can link here, I don't see it as notable the other way round. Bakkster Man (talk) 21:57, 9 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I think I mentioned a while back to user:22dragon22burn on their talk page that I don't really get the need to add the video game stuff but if you compare the current article with the one that existed before s/he started here (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Standing_start&oldid=478209906) there is considerable overall improvement. If nothing else, some credit is due for the reformatting and clarification of the rest of the article, IMHO. - UnbelievableError (talk) 04:37, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've deleted the section. Since most real-life races use a standing start, there's nothing noteworthy about the fact that fictional and simulated races often do the same– Smyth\talk 13:01, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

If you weren't a woke, left wing site, I'd contribute generously.
