Notability

[edit]

They have a song on Neptunes Present Clones, which if I remember correctly, was a US number one album. That sounds like it meets the criteria.--Richy 15:15, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

There's quite a bit of background on the major-label debut missing here - wasn't Sitting Around Keeping Score an early casualty of Star Trak moving from Arista?

Also, any debate about the notability of this group is silly - they were signed to a major record label, backed up Pharrell's side project and are luminaries of their local scene. 12.158.31.132 05:18, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Spymob was featured on "Neptunes Present... Clones," which peaked at #1 in 2003. See http://www.top40-charts.com/chart2.php?cid=28&cat=ye2003 . Spymob was also featured on N*E*R*D's first album, and backed up the trio (yes, trio) on their tour. Track list from Clones: http://www.amazon.com/Neptunes-Present-Clones-Bonus-DVD/dp/B00009W8L0 . Info about Spymob backing up N*E*R*D: http://www.mtv.com/news/yhif/spymob/ . They should definitely be kept in Wikipedia.

Agreed with all of the above - given the high profile of the Neptunes and N.E.R.D. and the integral role the band played/plays, of course they're notable. Miles 05:07, 8 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
