The article was moved to mainspace on 19 September and nominated on 23 September with 7,820 B / 1,232 words. Both QPQs are complete. Earwig is clean, and no copyvio has been detected. The hook is crisp and interesting, and is supported by the provided source. I made a few minor copyedits for typos. One point before approval: the article says the yearly sandbagging has occurred "since the late 2010s", but the cited source only says "for several years". Could you add a source for the date? HerBauhaus · talk 18:38, 24 September 2026 (UTC)
- HerBauhaus Oops; I don't know where I got that date. Rephrased. Generalissima (talk) (it/she) 18:48, 24 September 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks. "By the early 2020s" still adds a date not given explicitly by the source. A change to something like “In recent years, sandbags have been placed yearly ...” would resolve the issue. HerBauhaus · talk 19:04, 24 September 2026 (UTC)
- @HerBauhaus: Rephrased to "by the 2020s", but that is appropriate here (since it was within recent years as of the source, and the source is from 2025. MOS specifically cautions against statements like "in recent years", as it is obviously very liable to become outdated. Generalissima (talk) (it/she) 19:40, 24 September 2026 (UTC)
Good point. The revised wording resolves my concern. Good to go. HerBauhaus · talk 05:46, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
