Major update in July 2012

Cit-ananda
[edit]Cit-ananda links to sat-cit-ananda - but it's incorrect... it's important for Kashmir Shaivism to point out that "sat" (existence) is not a necessary predicate of the Absolute; instead, it is only a compact mass of pure consciousness and bliss, and its main predicate is Freedom (svatantrya) and not existence. - You seem to have forgotten that words have meanings - this is not math (and it is not a competition between sects). The sentence is "Besides being "all-things", Shiva is also cit-ananda - consciousness and bliss."
- So you are trying to posit some sort of semantic difference between "existence" and "being all things" ?
- And what is this "only a compact mass"? How does one compare this to, say, "only a large loose mass of all things"? And something that is "only all things" implies that it can somehow perhaps become greater than all things!
- I won't restore the link, because it is unnecessary (and I dislike wiki wars). But there is no question that Shiva of Kashmir Shaivism is "sat-chit-ananda". Shiva-Sakti in Kashmir Shaivism is "Being-Becoming".162.205.217.211 (talk) 04:47, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
