PSF?

[edit]

Could someone post a picture of the point-spread function of a soft-focus lens? —Ben FrantzDale (talk) 17:23, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thambar

[edit]

This section feels like someone has a personal investment in this particular lens. Why is the price of this lens on the used market relevant to an article on soft focus? Does the Thambar really have a special status as a legendary lens? I don’t think the citations support this, one is an opinion piece from 2004 and the other is a blog post by a self-described Leica enthusiast ~2025-43456-39 (talk) 06:35, 28 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

If this lens is truly important perhaps it deserves its own article?
It just seems odd to dedicate a third-level heading to establishing the collectible status of a specific, technologically unremarkable lens that was only made in small numbers ~2025-43456-39 (talk) 06:54, 28 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
I removed some of the non-encyclopedic content. The second-level heading is "Examples", so it doesn't seem inappropriate to have subsections on specific lenses. Perhaps someone can add sections on a couple more specific lenses. I don't think each example lens needs its own article. The bar for having a section in a broader article is lower than that for having an independant article. --Srleffler (talk) 17:01, 28 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
