Remove the image of a Video Poker machine labelled as a Slot Machine, under the section Operations Spektah (talk) 09:57, 20 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect description

[edit]

The first image under the "Operation" section is not a slot machine - it is a video poker machine. A slot machine and a video poker machine are not the same thing at all. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_poker Spektah (talk) 10:07, 20 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Why "poker"?

[edit]

Please add to Terms and their Sources. I would like to know why the term poker is in the name when the machines don't offer an experience anything like poker. ~2026-64416-6 (talk) 21:31, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

"Poker machine" is an Australian term for a slot machine. Barry Wom (talk) 10:02, 30 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Lines on newer 3 reel slot machines

[edit]

"Traditional three-reel slot machines commonly have one, three, or five paylines while video slot machines may have 9, 15, 25, or as many as 1024 different paylines. Most accept variable numbers of credits to play, with 1 to 15 credits per line being typical. The higher the amount bet, the higher the payout will be if the player wins."

---Newer 3 reel slot machines in staying with the popularity of video reels are often increasing in the number of lines played. There are several 9-line three-reel slot machines on casino floors these days even 27 line machines. While "older" style 5 reel machiens can have even more. I feel this section could be improved a bit. When in doubt always check the game rules to see the lines in play. Bktaulbee (talk) 17:09, 1 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
