Flash did NOT invent the slipmat

Someone please correct this page. Slipmats were not invented by Grandmaster Flash. They were around decades before Flash was even born, used by DJs on radio stations - you can see old photos from the 1950 for example. Francis Grasso (born 1948) is credited with introducing the pre-existing slip cue technique to clubs during the 60s, when Flash was just a child. 217.155.202.33 (talk) 16:06, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Just for info - the Grasso claim is not supported by his own article, slipmat, beatmatching, or the slip-cue article, whereas the Grandmaster Flash claim has support. Remember - Wikipedia supports verifiability, not truth. Chaheel Riens (talk) 11:57, 10 October 2025 (UTC)
