Loaches Online

[edit]

While loaches online is indeed a fine hobbyist website - I do not think we should really be using it as a primary source of information for an encyclopedia. Moreover, it's unclear in the text which sections come from this website. I'll have a look through some printed sources of information and see if we cannot re-write the article to include that information. Cheers! MidgleyDJ 22:32, 7 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

If it's fish taxonomy information, size, habitat, etc. then sources like fishbase is enough. But here I am putting in fish behavior, like fish aggressiveness. This kind of information, you have to get from those who keep them, like aquarists book or website. If you could find aquarium book on this fish, then please put them in. The article is still far from finish. -- Lerdsuwa 07:46, 8 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

personal experience with skunk botia show all info in this article is WRONG........ !. they are NOT aggressive----i keep mine with pencil fish, gouramis, angle fish, other loaches, and yes even a couple of cory catfish and bristle nosed plecos. they stay small around 3inches and are very noctural. they love shimp, worms, plants, and sinking pellet food.

Fish individual personality could varies. The article mentions normally observed behavior. How many and how long have you kept them? Maybe this could shred some light about fish behavior in different environment. --Lerdsuwa (talk) 13:51, 6 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
