Disambiguation of blot

[edit]

Could someone how knows where the word blotting should point change the link? At the moment it points to a disambiguation page. My guess would be Blot (biology). Thanks. --TuukkaH 21:48, 15 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

linked to blotting paper which is the most useful in this context. Justinc 22:15, 26 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Is here anyone who has a picture of sizing machine? Newone 09:40, 27 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Painting

[edit]

"Size" is also a sealant or binder used in painting (Oil, Tempera, etc). This article needs to describe that. 75.197.224.30 (talk) 21:49, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

You are right. I only know about the use of rabbit skin glue as used as sizing on canvas, prior to painting in oil paint. As far as I know, that use only applies to linen canvas, and not to cotton canvas, though I could be wrong about that. Bus stop (talk) 14:52, 22 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

non-free

[edit]

Much of this article is lifted directly from http://paper.my/sizing.htm which is linked in the article, and which has a clear copyright notice on the page. --- wfaulk (talk) 02:48, 20 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Plus, what it lifts is very poorly written. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.14.15.229 (talk) 10:21, 24 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

That page seems to be copied from Wikipedia in 2009. Peter E. James (talk) 00:11, 21 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

eytmology

[edit]

The etymology should be included.Curb Chain (talk) 17:25, 9 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree, I can't find why it is called sizing. What does it have to do with the size of anything? --Zigbigadoorlue (talk) 01:53, 7 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
