Religious Sisters of Mercy, ALMA, Michigan: A community of RSM which reflects a more traditional look at the Vocation as a Sister of Mercy. A more accurate history of the Sisters of Mercy (RSM) is better found directly through the various sources and libraries which specialize in religious life and communities. Please note the art work at top of this page is not connected to the RSM's but seems connected to a french community. Mother Mary Patricia Waldron

According to my small bound book printed in 1916 by Dolphin Press: In 1861, a call for Sisters to open a school came from the Bishop of Philadelphia . In answer, Mother Warde sent Sister Mary Patricia Waldron, with a colony of nuns, seven in all, from Manchester. Thus, she was the first superior of the Sisters Of Mercy in the diocese of Philadelphia. She was born (Anna) in February 1834, at Tuam, Ireland. ~2026-26295-10 (talk) 18:19, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
