= Need to combine Sir2 with Sirtuin 2

[edit]

The subheading in this article Sir2 with the article on Sirtuin_2. Also, the page Sir2 redirects to this subheading under Sirtuin 1, which could also be changed to redirect to the "real" page for that gene. User:Rhetth

Contradiction

[edit]

The article states in part of section Activators about resveratrol: resveratrol was later shown to directly activate Sirtuin 1 against non-modified peptide substrates. Later, it also states: Although neither resveratrol or SRT1720 directly activate SIRT1, resveratrol, and probably SRT1720, indirectly activate SIRT1 by activation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). These informations contradict each other: a compound cannot be both capable and incapable of being a direct activator. Alfa-ketosav (talk) 14:31, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
