Given the Reverends recent statements on legalizing abortion in NSW, Australia and that compassion for a woman rather then judgement should be shown, [1], what are his beliefs regarding how a human obtains a soul? While there have been different views over the years as to how the soul is obtained, is it not generally believed that a soul is obtained at conception and therefore, in most circumstances, abortion is considered wrong? How does the Reverend justify his statement regarding abortion? I am one seeking understanding.
