All the sources cited are from Sikh historians, so the article only shows one side of the story. Wikipedia requires articles to be neutral and include all major viewpoints, especially for history involving different groups.

Until the article adds sources from Muslim, local, or neutral historians, it remains one-sided and biased. Because of this, it violates Wikipedia’s Neutral Point of View (WP:NPOV) and Reliable Sources (WP:RS) policies. This article should be deleted or merged with other articles until it can be fixed. First of all, Hari Ram Gupta is not Sikh by religion and is Neutral. Secondly, just because some of these historians follow a certain religion does not mean they have an agenda they adhere to. The sources provided are WP:RS reliable, and you are welcome to cite from the "Muslim, Local [...] historians" regarding this conflict. Heraklios 15:34, 25 July 2025 (UTC)

I understand that Hari Ram Gupta may not be Sikh by religion; however, the broader issue is that the article primarily relies on historians who present events from a perspective that aligns with the Sikh side. Even when sources are considered reliable under WP:RS, they can still show particular historical narratives especially in cases involving regional conflicts.

Wikipedia’s WP:NPOV policy requires that all viewpoints be fairly represented—not just by using reliable sources, but by ensuring there is diversity in those sources. At present, the article lacks balance by perspectives from Muslim, local, or non-Sikh historians, who may offer different interpretations of the same events.

I plan to search for additional sources that provide these perspectives and will add them. Until then, I think that the current sourcing leans too heavily toward one side to meet neutrality standards. As such, a POV tag or consideration for a merge tag has been placed.
