Notability

[edit]

In creating this page I note that a previous page of the title has been deleted on grounds of being a dictionary definition, plus lack of references. However, I am creating the page as I believe the word to describe a phenomenon of great interest, which is now covered in a page entitled Sound of fingernails scraping chalkboard. This is not a good title from the point of view of searches (there is a need to cover English versions such as 'the sound of chalk on a blackboard') and I am hesitant to just create redirect pages because I think the word 'Shrillness' is probably the most relevant and concise title for the phenomenon. I think this page, though a stub, should be left as a place for future developments to be recorded even though citable research is currently sparse. The topic was recently featured on BBC Radio 4, with regard to a student online research project which, though I consider the outcome to be of little value, indicates a degree of interest. --Lindosland (talk) 22:19, 20 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
