- Biography of Louis Shickluna in the bulletin of the Toronto Marine Historical Society. Historical societies are volunteer-run and don't have the oversight of a research journal, so generally not a high-quality reliable source.

- Louis Shickluna was a relative. We are extremely proud of his accomplishments! There are also digs going on at the site for the last few years.
