Notability

Amateur athletes are not notable enough for Wikipedia — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.73.147.157 (talk) 04:24, 5 March 2012‎

Except when they're notable enough for Wikipedia. --Mosmof (talk) 19:40, 5 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Freshman All-American

[edit]

@Rikster2: Saw that you removed Freshman All-American from the infobox. Should we keep this national honor and not list a conference-level award like Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, or should we just not list either?—Bagumba (talk) 01:03, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

this is a pretty minor national honor. Rikster2 (talk) 01:05, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Maybe it's just me, I find it more interesting where a player stands nationally, than at the conference-level. Not sure as far as WP:DUEWEIGHT, which one is more significant to mention if we wanted to ax one and not both.—Bagumba (talk) 01:21, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
But even at the conference level "freshman of the year" is more significant than an ambiguous "freshman All-American" honor that can include 10 players. It's not a "real" award. But whatever, cut them both or leave them both I don't really care - neither is all that significant in my opinion. Rikster2 (talk) 02:10, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
