Seb Lester is notable because:

• He designed the covers of the upcoming re-releases of J. D. Salinger classics. Also significant, the designs were approved by Salinger before his death.
• Lester designed Neo, the typeface used in 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
• Neo is also used by Intel, in advertising and printed on their processors.
• In addition to Neo, Lester has designed other typefaces distributed by major foundries.
• Lester designed the mastheads of two significant newspapers: The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph.
• Lester designed the cover of a 2009 issue of Business Week.
• A image search of Seb Lester prints yields many of his images from numerous and various sites.

On the other hand, his work is recent. Not a lot has appeared in print articles (that I can find online).

The face that we don't have any sourceable articles is an issue. I really don't know how to go about this. I don't even know what the guidelines would be as far as typographers. Is it enough that he designed some big-name users' fonts? Or does he have to have made a significant academical contribution to typography - eg, a new design philosophy? With typography it's usually the case that a significant contribution of actual work be made (i.e. 'new design philosophy' is too high a bar). I created this entry, so my opinion is pretty clear: the work is new but it seems significant to me. Hope to get some other design-savvy Wikipedians to weigh in on this. Alternatively, there may be more press that comes out when the new Salinger book covers are released. (Seems strange to me that the typeface used in the 2010 Olympics didn't get get more coverage in design press.) OatmealSmith (talk) 01:15, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
