Should the "controversies" section include the Spyglass/Barrera debacle?

[edit]

In 2024, Melissa Barrera was fired from Scream 7 for supporting Palestine in the Israel/Hamas war, which Spyglass deemed antisemitic. Should that be included as a controversy? Tristanstar22 (talk) 23:01, 26 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

I feel that there should be a section, other than the Scream 7 section, that discusses the Barrera and Spyglass incident. However, the controversy section seems to be completely focused on people becoming inspired by the films. Would it be appropriate to add the Barrera dispute into the controversy section? Or to add a new section for the dispute? Mickeymonorail (talk) 21:39, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Jennifer Jolie - not mentioned here?

[edit]

Why is there no mention of Jennifer Jolie? 216.49.241.95 (talk) 14:45, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Update to Box Office Performance

[edit]

Currently, some of the information in the box office performance section is outdated. It says "The original Scream has remained the most successful of the series, accruing a $173,046,663 gross worldwide and receiving a largely positive critical reception, remaining the highest grossing slasher movie of all time until 2018's Halloween was released." However, in the table, it shows that Scream 7 is the most successful out of the series based on worldwide figures, sitting at $211,968,150.

I will update the sentence to mention that before the release of Scream 7, the original was the most successful of the series, and leave the rest of the sentence as as. I will add a mention of Scream 7 now being the most successful, with a $211,968,150 gross worldwide. Mickeymonorail (talk) 22:05, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Mickeymonorail Scream 7 is only the most successful if you don't account for inflation. Scream made $378,136,430.79 in today's dollars. you are being inaccurate if you don't take that into account. Wolfwren (talk) 08:20, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
