Cyclones

[edit]

I spent my teen years in Scottburgh and went to hostel in Port Shepstone. I remember 3 major cyclones which hit Mozambique and Natal which in geologacal terms cause 50-year floods. The first was either in 1984 or 85 (I was in Std 9 or Matric that year) and the main road bridge at Scottburgh connecting Durban to Port Shepstone was washed away. The second one was when I was 1987 while I was in the Army and the third was in 1988 and I remember that year the Tugela river bridge washed away.--Jcw69 14:50, 27 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
