The Lead says that the hotel attracted "rich and powerful" guests. Someone suggested changing this to "distinguished", but that changes the meaning. Certain people we can think of are rich and/or powerful, but not, in most people's view, distinguished. Rich is a fact. Powerful is a fact. Distinguished is a value judgment. Nevertheless, it is true that all three kinds of people did stay at the hotel (draw your own Venn diagram), but do we really need three adjectives when two will do? -- Ssilvers (talk) 17:00, 9 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
