DOB

[edit]

@JeffSpaceman: Can you explain what you meant by Actually, this does not appear to have BLP-compliant sourcing directly supporting it? When source #1 says Khalifa was born in Cairo on March 29, 1994, and began her career in the media by presenting programs on the “ART” channel, before moving to work on the Iraqi Al-Sharqiya channel for a long period. Please explain before I can insert the DOB back. CoryGlee 21:57, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Admittedly, that was an oversight on my part. I should have looked at the source more closely to assess reliability, it looked like some kind of clickbaity celebrity site to me at first glance. Feel free to include the DOB in the article with that cited. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. JeffSpaceman (talk) 23:41, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Notability

[edit]

User:Tamer Al Sayegh Welcome to Wikipedia. Honestly I am not in the mood for patience for things that every new user should read before taking arbitrary decisions. Your premise is baseless... As if Milwaukee or Burlington, Vermont should include Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Bundy respectively? Desist... I am not in a patient mood anymore here. Thanks. WHAT?

[edit]

User:Ritchie333, I urge you to reconsider the "no consensus" to "keep"... Please count the !votes because it is a clear mistake (I assume) saying it was a "no consensus" decision. Thanks. CoryGlee 16:42, 25 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

1 delete v 4 keep, really Ritchie333? CoryGlee 16:55, 25 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
It's 2 asking for deletion (including the nominator), and anyway, those asking for deletion have disagreed with those asking to keep it, particularly asking for more sources.
In any case, AfD is not a vote, it is a discussion looking for general overall agreement and consensus. Adherence to our policy on articles on living criminals is also important. I can relist the discussion for another week to see if consensus emerges. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:33, 25 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Issue is that khalifa is not only a criminal as argued by those keeps... And if nominator counts it was then 5 keeps with mine CoryGlee 17:55, 25 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
@CoryGlee and Ritchie333: where do you see 5 keeps vs. 1 delete? There are 6 keeps with mine and 2 deletes (The Wolak and Sycerion). --Puszczanin (talk) 11:46, 27 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
As Ritchie333 said, AfD is not a vote. I have seen deletion discussions with more keep !votes closed as delete (and vice versa); the strength of the arguments made is more important than the numbers, ultimately (though I am not making a comment on the strength of the arguments presented here).
I wouldn't be opposed to relisting, but I'm not sure why this argument is coming from the keep side of this discussion. No consensus is basically the same as keep, anyway... Sycerion (talk) 00:53, 28 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Never mind me. Just realised that CoryGlee has been blocked, and the AfD has been reopened. Sycerion (talk) 00:55, 28 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
