@Srsval and Cherrymushrooms: thank you for creating this article, these are my initial thoughts:

There are a lot too many pictures, articles of this size usually merit only two or three. While many of the pictures are atmospheric, they tell us little about the park.
Please try to be clearer about the boundaries of the park, as there appear to be adjoining open spaces that might be part of the park. Can you find its area in hectares?
The Controversy section is too detailed and appears to be insufficiently neutral.
Cardiff Council's website refers to it as "Sanatorium Road Recreation Ground" (search here). Does this mean that it is treated differently from their "parks"? cardiffparks.org.uk has not heard about it, however there appear to be sufficient other sources to justify the title of the article.
