Parameter problems

Hi, Doc James (or any talk page lurkers). Can you help me out? I am having trouble setting the emergency= parameter in the infobox to emergency=III to set the trauma level.

I was expecting the parameter to do some magic.

In the interim I have created a manual wikilink in that parameter. I thought if I just typed in III, the magic would happen.
