Sabbatical experience

[edit]

The "Sabbatical experience" section is confusing. What is this list talking about? Some explanatory text would be helpful. Adam McMaster (talk) 13:20, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sabbatical leave for professors

[edit]

This should be discussed here, currently - there's not a word on that. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:55, 2 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

etymology

[edit]

I'm not sure why hindi or arabic are there, I assumed it was hebrew -> greek -> latin, and considering arabic and hindi didn't come into their own until after greek fell out of prominence... I imagine the arabic is a cognate of the hebrew, and hindi got it from arabic, perhaps through persian, but I'm removing those two because I'm fairly certain they should not be here.
