Does anyone know who runs this? I clicked on a link (i knew it was spam i was just curious) and i got the message, "Unable to complete forwarding for xxxxx.com. Destination is listed as spam:- Blocked, xxxxx.com on lists [ob], See: http://www.surbl.org/lists.html." Its got to be a pretty powerful organization if they're filtering what i can and can't see on the internet.

They don't control what you can see or can't see on the Internet. Your or someone else's mail provider is likely using the list to filter out spam.

Also, this article is not well-written, and does not provide a great deal of information on what an SURBL is. It's more just an argument between two people than anything else.Plitero (talk) 13:49, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

This is Scam

Like the older Discussion at Topic "Untitled" points to, this very likely seems to be scam in itself.

Nobody knows, who is responsible for this. There is no Imprint or legal notice on the webpage. But there is a hint: the contact page points to "Authorized Resellers", which is securityZONES.net. -> So they resell the data that each person who tried to "delist" his domain, had transmitted. This and the fact, that my brand new domain, got "blacklisted", is showing me, that there is no blacklist, but a whitelist for people, who paid with their data to get "unlocked". This is simply a scam, to collect and sell data. It seems like the reputation of this "thing" is quite positive - but that doesn't mean anything as long as there are no closer details about this publicly available. Has anyone more background info about that organization?

The article itself is very poor too. It does only spread the narrative, that the organization itself claims, but is in lack of any real facts about the organization. Who is an charge of SURBL? What Kind of organization is it? It's mentioned to be "Surbl BV" in the Netherlands, but then there should be an official registration that can be referenced - missing too.
