Chronology timeline

I think this entry article on the STAR*D desperately needs to reference the study timeline, or at least some solid clinical trial dates, to put it into current context. Clinicaltrials.gov suggests that Principal investigator A. John Rush launched STAR*D in July 2001, but material on edc.gsph.pitt.edu/stard/ indicates the actual groundwork for this NIMH-funded study started before October 1999. Might be a good idea to cite which regional centers the participant population was finally drawn from, too. -Theicla (talk) 08:59, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Novel Finding:

A major surprise of the study was that Buspar is actually effective. The study was also notable for popularizing antidepressant augmentation, such as their adding Buspirone to an existing SSRI treatment. ^[1]
