Seems like a good start. Is this a proprietary implementation? If so, it might merit noting. - FabioB 5 July 2005 09:04 (UTC)

Well, it certainly qualifies as free software. --Piet Delport 6 July 2005 08:36 (UTC)

Both the Wikipedia entry for GNU GUILE and a guile release page http://www.gnu.org/software/guile//notes/guile-1.2.html mention SIOD as the source for some of the garbage collector tricks.

Are those primary sources enough to prevent a deletion of the SIOD page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.208.183.122 (talk) 22:14, 28 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

There are references to SIOD in books, e.g. Beginning GIMP: From Novice to Professional page 111. It will take more Wiki expertise to figure out how to build a reference to those. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.208.183.122 (talk) 22:17, 28 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

smallest ?

[edit]

SIOD may be the "smallest practical implementation of a Lisp-like language" but is the size of compiled code documented anywhere? For reference femtolisp is 150 Kb. 108.36.218.225 108.36.218.225 (talk) 03:33, 1 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
