I'm happy to do this review. I will be using the template below. Alexeyevitch(talk) 11:06, 30 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Alexeyevitch: 'titular character' is used in several actor/actress FAs. MOS:SUBMARINE says "unexpectedly hide relevant information underneath the link's label"; linking titular character is not unexpected as the reader should expect it to link to the titular character's page. 750h+ 02:34, 2 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
OK. Alexeyevitch(talk) 02:51, 2 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Alexeyevitch: [30] has an archive next to it, others have been fixed. 750h+ 10:21, 2 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

1. Well-written:
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct.

Grammar

  • Put commas before "respectively"
  • sentence case in [243]
  • ... match donations up to $1 million... - add "of"
  • Governor General Mary Simon - sentence case

Spelling

  • neighborhood → neighbourhood
  • organisation → organization

Prose

  • Divorced from actress Scarlett Johansson, Reynolds has been married to Blake Lively since 2012, with whom he has four children. - I feel like this could be rephrased.
  • although the details of the scope of the investment have yet to be disclosed - probably not needed
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.
  • WP:BLPNAME - it's somewhat unnecessary to name non-notable children here.
    • I would assume the same would apply to his siblings.
  • MOS:SUBMARINE - for titular character, additionally check other links
2. Verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check:
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline.
  • Reference layout is sufficient.
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose).
  • [209] & [304] are missing the authors...
  • ... also [244], [291] & [306]
  • Other than some minor reference formatting, the references are reliable, hence passed.
2c. it contains no original research.
  • Will do a spotcheck soon... I will be checking every tenth reference:
  • [10] good, [20] is dubious, [30] dead link, [40] good, [50] good, [60] mentions lb instead of kg, [70] good, [80] good but I suggest rewording the content, [90] good, [100] good, [110] assuming good faith, [120] good, [130] good, [140] good, [150] good, [160] good.
  • More to come...
  • [170] good, [180] good, [190] good, [200] good, [210] good, [220] good, [230] good, [240] good, [250], [260] good, [270] good, [280] good, [290] good, [300] good, [310] good, [320] good, [330] good.
  • All done on the spotchecks. I'd suggest addressing [20], [30], [60], and [80].
2d. it contains no copyright violations or plagiarism.
  • Nothing of concern anymore.
3. Broad in its coverage:
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic.
  • Article is comprehensive.
3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).
  • No issues.
4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each.
  • No issues.
5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.
  • Article is stable & free of edit wars.
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content.
  • File:Deadpool 2 Japan Premiere Red Carpet Ryan Reynolds (cropped).jpg, license good
  • File:Kitsilano-Sec-3.jpg, license good

6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions.
  • Image is relevant and caption is good - no alt text?
  • Image is relevant and alt text and caption is good...
  • ... same with the rest of them.
    • Alt text has been added by nominator.
7. Overall assessment. Looking back over stuff, this article well-formatted and sourced and meets the criteria now. Well done.
