How about adding other symbols, like the Russian Empire?

The Tsardom of Russia and the Russian Republic have other symbols, but it is unfortunate that the Russian Empire does not have such a symbol. I would like to propose that the Russian Empire add the symbols it used to its other symbols. Azredcon4 (talk) 23:18, 6 July 2025 (UTC)

Flag shade

I noticed the infobox flag is changed to a lighter shade version. The left darker shade was the one before. I’m not sure but which one is the correct one? - Bokmanrocks01 (talk) 17:39, 4 April 2026 (UTC)

• Darker shade is what is usually used in Imperial Russian-related infoboxes dating from the Napoleonic Wars to WWI so probably just the darker shade; lighter shade very likely dates from the 1990s and afaik I don't think was ever used during Tsarist-era Russia. - BaronNishi (talk) 23:47 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Potentially unnecessary sentence in lead

I noticed the following sentence in the lead of the article: "It colonized Alaska between 1799 and 1867." Is this sentence necessary? I don't know much about the Russian Empire, but I know that it was based in the western parts, near Moscow and St. Petersburg. The colonization of Russia feels like a detail that isn't important enough to be the 4th sentence of the article, especially considering the sheer amount of land contained within the Russian Empire.
