This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because there is currently no summary page about Dr. Fernald's research. His lab has revolutionized the field of ecology and non-model organismal biology; he has published over 220 papers, many of which are influential and highly cited in their field. His research has spanned a wide array of topics and it is difficult to understand the scope of this research without placing them all in one page, together --Verylostflamingo (talk) 20:27, 29 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
