His connection with the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal (which reversed the flow of the Chicago river) is most likely false. There's several incorrect sources online that credit him with the work. I'm researching what, if any, role he had in the project at the Chicago Historical Society and Chicago Public Library over the next few weeks. ChrisMcAvoy (talk) 13:22, 9 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
