p. 97. The southern Andean Oxyura ferruginea (Eyton),Andean Duck,is separated as a species from O. jamaicensis, and the account for the latter is modified accordingly. This follows studies by Siegfried (1976) and Fjeldsa (1986).

I revised some of the descriptive copy and identified the source of the new description (allaboutbirds.org) I also added an inline citation (from http://avibase.bsc-eoc.org) to support the statement about Oxyura ferruginea being considered a separate species by some and a sub-species by others.
