ꝗ used in other styles and milex is a variant of miles

I removed the following statement from the article and from Gothic script (paleography) :

Italian rotunda also is characterized by unique abbreviations, such as q with a line beneath the bow signifying qui, and unusual spellings such as x for s (milex rather than miles).[citation needed]

The ꝗ is used in other script styles as an abbreviation of qui, and milex is a variant of miles in Latin regardless of the script style. --Moyogo/ (talk) 20:26, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
