General form

I've seen the Rosenbrock function be written in the form $f(x,y)=(a-x)^{2}+b(y-x^{2})^{2}$. Would it perhaps be better to introduce it in this more general form in this article, then say that usually a = 1 and b = 100? Thanks, A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 07:35, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
