I was somewhat unclear about something (which is actually common to all packet compression techniques) and I thought it might worth be edited into the article. It has to do that the compressed header is useless for routing/forwarding etc. So when you take an FTP/TCP/IP packet and ROHC it, you still need a MAC header to carry the ROHC'ed packet.
