This article as well as other webpages report Sweeney was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, Queens, New York but the details of his burial have not been established. So in the article, the picture captioned Sweeney’s grave seems farfetched and should be deleted. Anthony Staunton (talk) 09:29, 29 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Service time

According to Wikipedia ordinary seaman is a rank that requires 3 years of experience or re-enlistment so if he already was an ordinary seaman in 1881 he didn't just service from 1881-1884. My guess is that this is just the service years that can be confirmed based on him receiving the 1st and 2nd Medal of Honor. Wikiuser12389 (talk) 12:06, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
