About the tags

I trimmed much of the excess unreferenced less-than-notable stuff to try to fix problems mentioned by the other editor; I agree Wikipedia is not an advertisement. I'm wondering whether the long list of publications is necessary; maybe they can be removed also? Someone interested in more specific writings could find them via the RL website link, right? The core story of this Wikipedia article is: an important professor calling for serious political reform -- a second constitutional convention. I don't think a book about James Madison is that notable. And I think this is a serious story worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia; still, other editors might want to weigh in on whether RL is notable -- I think his call for a convention is the notable thing. Plus he has an interesting background -- journalism, then academia. But I suggest keeping the tags on until other editors are happy that problems have been fixed.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 02:57, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

It's been two weeks now with the tags in place, and no comments from other editors. I think the non-book publications section is unnecessary -- this information can be accessed via RL's website for those readers interested. With this trimming, I think the article is back to its NPOV status, and I'll keep watching it to keep out the WP:SPAM. And I'll remove the tags for the time being; if other editors think the tags are still necessary, please reinstall them.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 13:48, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
