I have observed many Ashkenazim in America, in particular Hasidim, who pronounce the resh as an alveolar flap. I think this should also be an accepted Ashkenzi pronunciation. Fight26club (talk) 19:16, 29 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nebuchadwhater?

[edit]

The following sentence regarding the similarity of the D & R letters in Hebrew is included in the text as if it is a self-evident point: "The similarity led to the variant spellings of the name Nebuchadnezzar and Nebuchadrezzar." The problem is that prima facie, this comparison is NOT between D & R but rather N & R. This makes no sense and should be removed.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.8.29.142 (talk) 14:46, 24 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
