[edit]I believe this article should be merged into Islamic religious police and be made a redirect, since this article mainly covers religious police from an Islamic standpoint. Not to mention the large amounts of text that have been copypasted from Islamic religious police... - OpalYosutebito 『talk』 『articles I want to eat』 20:29, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose - Islam isn't the only religion that has, or had, officials to uphold religious law. Many countries previously had laws against blasphemy and heresy; some still do. Are you forgetting there was the Inquisition of the Catholic church? What about the trial of Galileo Galilei. This phenomenon is not confined to a single religion. The Islamic religious police are merely the currently notable variant. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 10:26, 6 September 2025 (UTC)

- Yes. Which is a better solution than redirection, I think. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 21:09, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
