Merge suggestion
[edit]I would like to suggest that this be merged with reliability (statistics).
I have reviewed the discussion there. I agree that reliability in engineering (non-failure of a "reliable" part) is different than reliability in statistics or psychometrics ("reproducibility," consistency, or true score variance as opposed to error). The little bit of information here on Reliability(research_methods) overlaps with the more developed content on Reliability(statistics). I think that Wikipedia would be better with this folded together, rather than splitting efforts to upgrade pages and creating confusion about whether this is a technically different usage of "reliability" (which is not the case here, unless I am missing something). It's the "Don't Repeat Yourself" principle.

Difference from reproducibility
[edit]There is a section "Difference from validity". However, a more important (and more confusing) question "Difference from validity" is missing. I do not have enough expertise to write such section myself, but I would like to ask someone with more experience in Statistics to do it. Walter Tau (talk) 17:43, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
