Whilst not a reliable source, FindAGrave says he was born in 1911 and died in 1986 - https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/189021575/reginald-hartley-fenderson

In 1941, he attempted to take his own life. In the article he is described as being 29, so was born in 1911 or 1912 - https://www.newspapers.com/clip/99159269/california-eagle/
