"Despite several organised searches, no other specimens were discovered for." As a non-native speaker, I'm not totally sure about this, but I'd rather say it should be "no other specimens were discovered". Steinbach (talk) 12:18, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi, the external measurements herein reported are referred to all specimens of the genus Diplomys, where this species was previously included. Actually only the measurements of the Holotype are known and these data can be seen on the original description published by J.A.Allen in 1899. It should say sex and not gender
