The following two statements seem contradictory: "Without treatment, the infection usually resolves on its own, although it may take up to a year to do so." and "Before antibiotics were used for the treatment of rat bite fever, many cases resulted in death"; I suppose it depends on how you define "many". 50.65.81.157 (talk) 06:45, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Domestic rodents
[edit]This article seems to imply that only cats and dogs are domestic pets. Rats and other rodents are frequent pets; are there any estimates of if and how often rat-bite fever is transmitted from pet rodents to their owners?--Prosfilaes (talk) 23:08, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
