For some reason I don't recall, while stub-sorting Robert R. Roberts I found my way to http://clerk.house.gov/art_history/house_history/doorkeepers.html and found it surprising that two consecutive doorkeepers were listed as Robert R. Roberts and Ralph R. Roberts, both from Indiana. I emailed the webmaster to check whether either of them was a typo, and had a prompt and helpful reply: "You are correct, there was a typo in the list. The Doorkeeper was Ralph Roberts. A request to fix the typo has been submitted to the web team.". They've now fixed the web page. So "Robert R. Roberts, doorkeeper to the House", was nothing but a typo. PamD (talk) 20:15, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
