Creation of RAF Wing article

[edit]

I debated how to title the article for RAF Wing, as I considered on the possible confusion with an RAF wing (unit), so I initially headed it RAF Wing (air station). User: MilborneOne shifted it to a non-disambiguated header, which I appreciated. I decided it was time for someone to create this one as I had discovered that the station red-linked in other articles I had worked on. I am little bit wary of the 1956 closure date, however. With 26 OTU disbanded on 4 March 1946, that sounds more likely a year for the station to close. Background info on RAF Wing is not widely available I found while compiling the article. I appreciate any additions from other sources that y'all may have access to. Sub*

  • Added a bit more stuff including the fact that it was used as a Maintenance Unit just before it closed. The Maintenance Unit was handed over to USAF control so they may have been a USAF storage unit at Wing for the last few years. MilborneOne (talk) 20:53, 20 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
