Deletion of paragraph about grammatical gender of the French word?

A paragraph in the section on the etymology of the English word concerns the grammatical gender of the word in French, which seems to have been translated (with a number of grammatical errors) from the French page. Should this paragraph be deleted (rather than corrected) since it is of very little relevant to the English page? Loris Bennett (talk) 15:57, 21 October 2022 (UTC)

Add paragraph describing its introduction to consumers and cultivation outside Andes region?

Under the Cultivation section, there is a jump in the timeline from the decline of local quinoa cultivation through the 1970's to the growth in its popularity worldwide starting 2004. To cover that gap and describe how quinoa was introduced to the U.S. and European food markets, should we add a short paragraph describing the early work of Stephen Gorad and Don McKinley, from the 1980s - early 2000's? They were the first to bring quinoa to markets outside South America, and also help bring seeds for its cultivation in Colorado, Tibet and elsewhere. For citations, there are a number of media interviews from that period, as well as the book, The Quinoa Chronicles, by Stephen Gorad. DanSpira (talk) 23:29, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
