Um, as the current article stands, no they are not. These simply write the volume differential in differential form notation. It would be nice to know what this topic is. I'll look for papers at some point. MŜc2ħεИτlk 15:04, 7 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Provost-Vallee metric and Berry curvature

There is also another context in which the term "quantum geometry" is often used, originated from a study by Provost and Vallee. They showed that if one expresses a distance of quantum states in a parameter space, the quantum geometric tensor expressing that distance consists of a metric tensor (known as the Provost-Vallee metric) and the Berry curvature. Their derivation was general, but recently there has been a lot of interest in applying these geometrical quantities to characterize response functions of condensed matter systems.
