Pulhal Central Prison → Puzhal Central Prison – Per WP:COMMONNAME, the Central Prison is referred to as Puzhal Central Prison in contemporary sources. "Pulhal" is an older transliteration barely used, whereas "Puzhal" is the predominant spelling used by media and government publications. All sources over time refer to the name as Puzhal:

• "Undertrial prisoner dies in Puzhal jail". The Times of India. 16 July 2026.
• "Murder plot unearthed at Puzhal jail, four inmates shifted". The New Indian Express. 6 July 2026.
• "Life convict dies after slip in Puzhal Central Prison bathroom". DT Next. 20 February 2026.
