Singapore ban

First issue: Singaporeans who click on (http://www.putfile.com) will be redirected to the page in the screenshot above.

Second issue: The screenshot on the right is of the message for "Putfile says goodbye to Singapore".

Goodbye, Putfile! We had a lot of memories.

I had a lot of good memories about Putfile. I uploaded my first videos there. Now they're gone. Does anybody know any other media sharing websites? RocketMaster (talk) 11:16, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Acquisition/Owner/Owner's Name/Legacy

The infobox gives details of Putfile, as it was immediately before shutting down. I'm not sure if that's standard for defunct websites, or if it should encompass its entire run...

Around the time HandHeld Entertainment Inc purchased Putfile, they started almost only referring to themselves as the ZVUE Corporation.* Putfile was one of a suite of internet media sites in the ZVUE 'network.' Hence (and in keeping with the article text), I think appropriate to call ZVUE the parent company, post-acquisition.

Tricky shoring this up, for my editing experience, but I could realistically be the only one thinking about Putfile, at the moment.

I think the site being a forerunner to YouTube, is something impressive. I don't recall many other video upload/streaming sites, with as much activity, prior to 2005, or before YouTube became the preeminent one. (Newgrounds or Google Video, I suppose.)

HandHeld/ZVUE Corp. deserves an article, I say. They had a nifty iPod competitor trying video sooner.
