Junk

[edit]

@Cougroyalty merged in a bunch of nonsense with

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Psocodea&diff=prev&oldid=1053223637

most obviously "The legs are slender and adapted for jumping, rather than gripping, as in the true lice."

It's nonsense because this article is (partly) about true lice. Needs eyes from an expert. RememberOrwell (talk) 03:17, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

reorganize particularly with regard to modern inclusion of lice

[edit]

Echoing a previous point, the page needs a significant re-work, particularly to handle appropriately the inclusion of the parasitic subgroups(lice), which were separate until recently. The term is "psocid" used here would properly refer to an individual of the family Psocidae, which you can find here only by navigating down two levels. An individual of Psocodea would be a "Psocodean". However, the description of "psocids" (undefined) clearly does not apply to lice. So, it seems that some material on the order as previously defined was most likely merged in, without thought as to whether it applies to the whole order as currently defined (including lice). 74.83.193.32 (talk) 17:07, 30 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

I removed the sections from the old Psocoptera article that are no longer applicable here. Cougroyalty (talk) 20:38, 30 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
